Potato Thokku

About :

Haii ...., Everybody likes potato so today i have come up with nice potato curry from Chennai , It is yummy curry which my mom makes as a side for the variety rice like tamarind, lemon or tomato rice during my school and college days. Whenever i take this in my lunch box i never get even one piece all will be eaten by my friends :) It's a yummy curry which has the taste of onion,tomato and spice mixed well with the potato try it , Enjoy Cooking :) :)



Preparation Time : 10 - 15 mins
Cooking Time : 15 - 20 mins
Serves : 2 nos

Ingredients :

Potato medium size - 4 nos
Cut onions - 1 cup
Cut tomatoes - 1
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 handful
Oil
Salt




Method :

Step 1 : Boil the potato with salt and peel the skin cut them into small cube shapes, In pan add 2 tsp oil, fennel seeds, curry leaves allow it to splutter, Then add the onion saute well till the raw smell goes then add the tomatoes saute till raw smell goes.


 


Step 2: Add the turmeric powder,chilli powder,coriander powder, needed salt for the ingredients. Saute well till it becomes in a gravy form, Now add the potatoes, 2tsp oil mix them well close the pan allow them to mix well for 10 - 15 minutes in a medium flame.


 


This goes well with all variety rice , chapatti.
