Sweet Samosa

Hey all ..., it's been a long time i didn't post any snack recipes :) so lets start with a sweet recipe. I remember this one is made by my grandmother often whenever i go for summer holidays. So friends try this one, its an easy and simple recipe you can make as evening snacks. Enjoy cooking :)



Preparation Time :30 mins
Cooking Time : 20 mins
Serves : 10 - 15 Samosas 


Ingredients:

Outer Layer:
Maida /All Purpose flour - 1 cup
Butter - 2 tsp
Salt
Oil

For Filling:
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 3 tsp
Fried gram dal / pottu kadalai - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Cardamom - 3 nos





Method:

Step 1: In a deep cooking vessel add the maida, butter, a pinch of salt and mix well. Add needed water make them like chapati dough.


 

Step 2: In Mixer add the fried gram, cardamom and grind well as powder, then in mixer add the sugar grind into powder, now in a pan add ghee add the grated coconut saute till the coconut turns little yellowish color. In a plate add the powdered fried gram dal, sugar, saute coconut mix well and keep it aside.


 



Step 3: In a floured flat surface place the small ball of dough with the help of the rolling pin press it, now place the stuffing in the middle. Seal the edges by folding the edges, then with the help of the fork press the sealed edges.In a pan add oil fry them into golden brown color.


 
 


Tip: If the filling is more you can add little hot ghee and mold them into small ladoo shape. It will taste amazing and will be the best snack for your tea time.
