Baby Potato Fry

About:

Potatoes are favorite for most of the people, it is available in most of the parts of world, I have tried a crispy potato fry in Indian style.




Preparation Time : 10 - 15 mins
Cooking Time : 10 - 15 mins
Serves : 2


Ingredients:

Baby Potato / Small size potato - 500 grams / 1 lb
Pottu Kalai / Roasted Gram - 1/2 cup
Garlic cloves peeled - 4 - 5 nos
Ginger - Small inch
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Chili Powder
Coriander Powder
Turmeric Powder
Salt


For Seasoning :

Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
Oil


Method :

Step 1 : Pressure cook the potatoes with salt, peel the skin and keep it aside. In mixer grind the pottu kadalai(roasted gram) without water.


 

Step 2: Now add the peeled garlic, ginger, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and lemon juice. Grind till it becomes like a paste.


 

Step 3:  Mix the grind paste with the peeled potatoes and keep it aside. In pan add oil, fennel seeds, curry leaves to splutter, now add the potatoes mixed with paste and just flip the sides of the potatoes till the potatoes gets fried nicely. Add oil on the sides whenever needed.

Note : Don't over stir the potatoes just flip the sides.


 





Serve as side dish for any rice variety.
