Curry Leaves Rice

About:

Hi, today i am blogging a healthy recipe - curry leaves rice. Curry leaves are rich in iron so it helps in fighting anemia, diabetes, hair loss and improves digestion. The native place of curry leaves are India and Srilanka, that's why we use curry leaves in all food we prepare. Try this healthy recipe, enjoy cooking :)  




Preparation Time : 10 - 15 mins
Cooking Time : 5 - 10 mins
Serves : 2  


Ingredients:


Cooked rice - 1 1/2 cup

To Roast And Grind:

Curry Leaves - 2 handful
Channa Dal - 4 tsp
Toor Dal - 4 tsp
Urad dal - 2 tsp
Coriander Seeds - 2 tsp
Dry Red Chili - 4 nos
Whole pepper - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida 
Sesame oil.


Method:

Step 1: Cook the rice with salt, allow it to cool down keep it aside. In pan add 2 tsp sesame oil add the ingredients in to roast and grind. Saute till the dal turn golden brown, allow the ingredients to cool down then grind it and keep it aside.

Note: The taste of the rice lies in tempering don't burn the ingredients.


 

 


 Step 2: Then in a pan add 2 tsp sesame oil, add the grind powder and cooked rice. Mix well and put the stove in the low flame for 2 - 5 mins. Check for salt and then switch off.













Serve with baby potato fry
